It aims to provide a forum for viewpoints across the further education (FE) sector in Scotland and to highlight current news on national initiatives. This issue is entitled 'Meeting the challenge: FE at the centre of Scotland's learning' and is one of a series charting the Learning Map in Scotland (see TD/TNC 65.361 and TD/TNC 67.237). The issue has been published to coincide with the SFEU annual Further Education Conference and Awards Ceremony and many of the articles reflect the themes of the conference - skills and employability, social inclusion and widening access, and technology and the FE college of the future.
