Teacher effectiveness training: inducting industry trainers for success
In contrast to education's compulsory sectors, tertiary teachers in New Zealand are not required to have any formal teaching qualification. The authors note that this is especially endemic in vocational training organisations, where industry expertise is highly valued, and often the key requirement for teaching appointments.
