2012-2013 annual report

The National Centre for Vocational Education Research Ltd (NCVER) is a not-for-profit company, owned by the Commonwealth and state and territory ministers with responsibility for vocational education and training. NCVER's mission is to be Australia's leading provider of high-quality, independent information on vocational education and training (VET) to governments, the education sector, industry and the community. In the year 2012-13 NCVER continued to be closely involved with the National Training Reform Agenda. In terms of statistical developments, the major effort has been in positioning the organisation for the introduction of mandatory reporting of student data by all providers, including those who do not currently submit data, and the introduction of a unique student identifier. On the research side, a significant change to the National Vocational Education and Training Research Program has ensured that the research is relevant to the policy needs of governments.
