An evaluation of the TAFE industry training and development programme

This 13 week pilot programme was set up under the Customised Training Agency (CTA) to assist companies assess their training requirements in response to award restructuring, productivity improvements, the Governments Training Guarantee and other industry changes. The objectives of the report were to obtain feedback from participating companies on the effectiveness of consultants, evaluate the training needs analysis programme, examine the process by which participants roles changed during the programme, to assess the programme and make recommendations for the future use of the consultants. The report gives a brief outline of the programme and the project manager's report. It presents responses from the questionnaires completed by each category of participants, together with summaries of findings and discussion on feedback received. Recommendations for the improvement of the programme and the future role of the consultants are given. Copies of questionnaires presented to consultants, mentors and participating companies are also included.
