Learning in the workplace: training patterns and training activities

The workplace provides a central focus for many of the activities related to the knowledge-based economy. In this chapter, the authors briefly summarise the evidence on patterns of employer-sponsored training in Canada, describing patterns and highlighting where training investments are relatively large and where there appear to be disincentives to training investment.
