Qualitative survey of teacher trainee satisfaction (SW/0704): second interim report

This is the second interim report commissioned from Marchmont/SLIM by the SWitch Centre of Excellence for Teacher Training (CETT) coordinated by Learning South West, Taunton. The report seeks to augment findings from the initial teacher trainee satisfaction survey presented in the first interim report by cross correlating responses with additional biographical data from trainees. It is hoped that further insights into the initial cohort of trainees will be gained by reinterpreting responses when viewed together with their background histories, helping to shed light on how these have affected their perceptions. The report is structured as follows: Introduction; Methodology; Interview responses; Discussion and analysis; Conclusions and recommendations.
