Investors in People UK: company report [1998, 2001-2010]

The Investors in People Standard, developed in the early 1990s, is the national quality standard for effective investment in training and development for all people. It aims to improve the effectiveness and performance of UK business by encouraging employers to develop the skills of their employees to achieve business goals. Investors in People UK was formed in 1991 to protect the integrity of the standard. It was a non-departmental public body and received funding from the former UK Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS). The organisation was based in London and managed the development, policy, promotion and quality assurance of the Investors in People framework.

The annual report details the uptake and use of the Standard nationally and the company's achievements throughout the year in the various areas of its role. It includes statements from the Chairman and the Chief Executive, a summarised Directors' report, a list of the Board of Directors, a summary of accounts, an outline of annual objectives, and a list of network partners.
