Access of girls and women to vocational education: implications for the workplace in Swaziland
This paper attempts to answer the question: 'What is the status regarding the promotion of equal access of girls/women to vocational education in Swaziland?' While national policies have been developed to promote equal access of females to resources, the author argues that attitudes are not easily changed and gender inequality still exists. By increasing awareness and knowledge about gender-role attitudes in vocational education and the workplace, female participation in the economic development of Swaziland can be enhanced.
