Good practice for on-line delivery of TAFE NSW courses

The aim of this research project was to (1) research and establish best practice for online delivery of course/module material in TAFE NSW by way of an evaluation of existing computer mediated systems and through an evaluation of these products with recommendations on how they can best meet TAFE and student needs; and (2) prepare a set(s) of guidelines for curriculum and learner resource developers on the structures of various types of learner resources to facilitate online use and learning, guidelines for adapting current materials for online publication, branding materials and style guide, and a set of web pages providing a framework of online tools. Based on the research project findings and subsequent work, this workshop focused on some of the key features and elements of the ‘Janison Solutions On-line Toolbox’ model that constitute good practice for on-line course delivery in TAFE NSW. The presentation documents some of the highlights of the first set of projects and some future features. It is mainly in dot point form, as copies of overhead transparencies.
