Contextual learning: a review and synthesis

This paper is one of a series of studies that were commissioned for the National Assessment of Vocational Education (NAVE). The volume of papers is indexed at TD/IRD 88.197. This paper discusses the concept of contextual learning as a movement for the integration of skills. It calls into question the ideas of a skill hierarchy and the generalisation of basic skills.
