Restructuring vocational education and training in Swaziland

Vocational education and training in Swaziland faces problems with respect to relevance, standards, comparability, accessibility and skilled workforce. To develop the necessary competencies in students and the workforce there needs to be a restructuring of the delivery of the vocational education and training system. This paper examines selected studies to identify the socioeconomic pressures for change. It offers twelve principles to form the framework to reconstruct the vocational education and training system.
