The central theme for this year’s International Vocational Education and Training Association (IVETA) conference was ‘Employability: new challenges for TVET’ (technical and vocational education and training). The conference covered the following themes: (1) globalisation, employment and training; (2) training policy; (3) financing of training; (4) standards for employability skills; (5) management of training systems; and (6) international networking.
