Tertiary sector refers to the education system that incorporates formal education beyond the secondary level; this includes higher education, vocational education and training (VET), and specialist education and training. Research aspects include the diversity and parity of esteem between elements such as pathways for students within the sector and into the labour market, policy, funding, governance, and institutional roles and autonomy.
