Entrepreneurship is the capacity and willingness to develop, organise and manage a business venture along with any of its risks in order to make a profit. Often this involves starting a new business, however, entrepreneurship can also be a way of thinking and acting that enables a person to take any product or service idea and turn it into successful reality through hard work, innovation, courage and risk-taking. Self-employment does not necessarily include an innovative business concept or idea and generally reflects the logistical situation of working for oneself rather than for an employer who pays a salary or wage. Independent contractors, sole proprietors of businesses and those with partnerships in businesses are considered self-employed.
