Best practice, or good practice, is an important aspect of quality in education and training. Best practice can relate to a variety of topics such as teaching and learning, mentoring, training providers, and assessment. The main aim of research and publications about best practice is to help others understand what has worked well, achieved desired outcomes, or made something more efficient or effective. The research may be quite specific or broad in scope. It is generally based on real world experiences in the sector rather than on theoretical or pedagogical concepts.
