Appraisal in FE - where are we now?

More than one third of all public sector further education (FE) institutions in the United Kingdom (UK) were surveyed by the Further Education Development Agency (FEDA) to identify the extent of staff appraisal implementation in the sector. Current literature on appraisal was investigated in order to identify key issues on which to focus this research.
