Youth labor markets in 23 countries: a comparison using micro data
The aim of this chapter is to provide a snapshot of the working lives of young people from a group of highly disparate countries. It looks at whether any common patterns emerge from the data collected during the last few years in the participating countries, and whether there are systematic patterns in the data that distinguish the young from older cohorts. As a starting point, it lays out how youths differ across countries in their labour market experience using internationally comparable micro data on individuals.
