INOFOR em noticia, no. 5, August 2001

'INOFOR em noticia' is the quarterly English language newsletter of INOFOR, the Portuguese centre for training innovation. This issue reports on the Pathways to Innovation project, aimed at encouraging entrepreneurs, leaders and social partners to undertake innovation as a strategic tool for enhancing productivity and the competitiveness of the Portuguese economy. The project involved Portuguese SME (small and medium-sized enterprise) entrepreneurs in visits to Irish and Danish companies where successful innovation practices are operational. The newsletter highlights recent events involving INOFOR and reports on the signing of an agreement on employment, labour market, education and training policy between the government and social partners. The primary aim of the agreement is to work towards the modernisation of the employment system in order to promote quality and sustainable employment. Show less
