Growth for everyone: CBI/Accenture Employment Trends Survey 2014

The survey was conducted between August and October 2014. There were 323 respondents, employing more than 1.25 million people between them. Respondents came from businesses of all sizes and sectors across the UK. The survey was completed by senior executives: in small and medium-sized companies this tended to be the managing director, chief executive or chairman; [and] in larger firms, it was the human resources director or equivalent. The following is examined in this document: (1) the employment landscape; (2) the 2014 employment trends survey; (3) job opportunities opening up in 2015; (4) ensuring the UK remains competitive; (5) tackling barriers to work for young people; (6) maintaining the momentum on positive employee relations; (7) maximising future talent; (8) boosting flexible working practices; and (9) upholding flexibility within the UK's regulatory framework.
