Central Metropolitan College of TAFE: strategic plan 1991-1993

The Central Metropolitan College of the Department of TAFE (CMC) is part of the largest tertiary sector in Western Australia, accounting for approximately 70 per cent of formal post school enrolments. The CMC strategic plan, 1991-1993, reflects the college mission to provide a quality service which is responsive to the current and future skills formation needs of customers. The plan provides a framework for effective and efficient operational planning and resource allocation by setting objectives and developing and implementing strategies to achieve those objectives. It offers a primary means of assessing achievement and promoting continuous quality improvement consistent with customer orientation. Strategic planning within CMC is a highly participative process with over two hundred members of staff participating in a series of planning workshops over a nine month period spanning 1990-1991. Other staff contributed to the development of the plan by lodging written submissions.
