Abstract:
This essay, supported by funding from the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) and published by the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) as an occasional paper, considers the evolution of the vocational education and training (VET) system since European settlement but focuses mainly on changes that have occurred over the last three decades.
