The Zimbabwe national assessment/examination and certification system in vocational education and training

This paper is based on the Zimbabwean national system of assessment and certification. This system contains aspects of both the comprehensive and modular concepts of vocational education and training (VET). There is an emphasis on educational, as opposed to occupational, standards, with educational planners trying to strike the right balance between this broad based approach and the specific requirements of employment.
