Author: Miller, Melvin D.; Gregson, James A.

Abstract:

In this paper, it is suggested that philosophic thinking and its application to practice has been largely avoided by vocational educators, and could make a significant contribution to the development of a coherent framework for designing, implementing and evaluating vocational education. The authors aim to contribute to a rethinking of vocational education practice for the future, to promote reflection about what vocational educators should do, and to clarify philosophical issues currently facing vocational education.
