Experience of being a TAFE trade teacher and its affect on the retention and up-keep of viable trade skills
This thesis addresses a perception existing within the automotive industry that teachers delivering vocational programs in TAFE lack current industry skills and general vocational competencies. The study explores the notion of skills attrition in TAFE and specifically analyses the experiences of TAFE automotive trade teachers and the degree to which their experiences may have affected the levels of viable skills they possess.
