Entry level English for non-English speaking background applicants to TAFE courses
This study investigated the relationship between entry level English writing as measured on the Australian Second Language Proficiency Rating (ASLPR) scale and performance in: (1) course of study; (2) individual subjects; (3) communication (English only) subjects; for non-English-speaking background (NESB) students enrolling in TAFE within 3 months of exiting courses run either by the Advanced English for Migrants Program (AEMP) or the Adult Migrant Education Service (AMES).
