Ageing of the labour force in OECD countries: economic and social consequences
This paper comments on the projected ageing of the populations of OECD countries and the consequences this has for labour markets, focusing on the fact that older workers will be required to remain active in the workforce for a longer period of time. The benefits of this include an increase in employment rates and less pressure on pension systems.
