No one is an empty vessel: ESL and aged care

There was a growing need for ethnic aged care workers, and Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE had plenty of ESL [English as a second language] students who were keen to work in the industry but lacked either the English skills or the confidence to attempt the necessary Certificate III in Aged Care Work. And then someone suggested combining the two courses. This article describes the experience.
