Embedding accreditation of prior learning (APL)
This briefing note provides a detailed overview of the lessons learned from recent APL projects. It outlines the background to APL, and a number of second phase APL projects. It picks out common threads, and looks at implementation issues. The paper concludes that APL is a viable option, lending itself to a range of vocational areas and qualifications, and a range of candidates. Recommendations for its use are made.
