Providers banner

Vocational education and training (VET) is delivered by a variety of public and private providers; these providers span secondary and tertiary sectors. In general, public training providers are any government training organisation, including technical colleges and institutes, universities, agricultural colleges, government departments and some secondary schools. Private training providers can be registered or non-registered and are classed as any nongovernment organisation that delivers VET programs. Research in this area aims to broaden concepts of the VET workforce including the transformation and improvement of teaching professionals and a focus on how contemporary teaching and learning technologies can produce better learning outcomes for students. Increasing engagement with employers and industry, curriculum development and quality regulation are also of particular interest to many researchers and VET providers.
