This conference, organised by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation Regional Centre for Vocational and Technical Education and Training (SEAMEO VOCTECH) and the Colombo Plan Staff College for Technical Education (CPSC) and partly sponsored by Japan Foundation Asia Centre, was held in Brunei Darussalam in March 2002. The purpose of the conference was to engender discussion about the need for integration and unification of policies and arrangements in vocational and technical education and training (TVET) systems across the Asia Pacific Region.
