The growing flexibility of the labour market in Korea in recent years has increased the number of non-standard workers, i.e. workers who are not employed on a permanent basis. This detailed abstract reports on a study which looks at: the characteristics of non-standard workers; the nature of existing vocational education programs for these workers; and the development of supporting programs and policies to cater for the needs of non-standard workers.

This abstract describes a study that suggests guidelines for future directions for Korea’s vocational education and training policies.
