The objectives of the project were to develop and refine the Adult Multicultural Education Services (AMES) processes and indicators submitted as best practice, to disseminate these practices via a benchmarking process, and to provide a model of best practice resulting from the benchmarking. The definition of best practice used for the project was one of best practice as a process of continuous improvement. AMES conceived the project as a collaborative exercise, which would provide an opportunity not only to disseminate good practice, but also to learn and improve its practice through working with other providers. AMES Victoria submitted evidence of its delivery of the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) as best or leading practice in client service. Show less
