These collections bring together the relevant publications of various organisations that contribute to the tertiary education sector in Australia and overseas.
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) collection brings together research available in VOCEDplus and resources from Australian and international organisations. The collection provides a starting point for finding information about the ASEAN organisation, its member countries, Australia’s relationship with ASEAN, and regional and global organisations who are making data available or producing research on the region.
The Australian National Training Authority (ANTA) was an Australian government statutory authority established in 1992 to provide a national focus for vocational education and training (VET). ANTA was abolished in 2005 and its functions transferred to the then Commonwealth Department of Education, Science and Training (DEST).
The Flexible Learning Advisory Group (FLAG) was the key policy advisory body for flexible learning directions in the vocational education and training system (VET) and adult and community education (ACE) sectors. It had oversight of the national e-learning strategies: the Australian Flexible Learning Framework; and the National VET E-learning strategy.
The National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER), previously the TAFE National Centre for Research and Development from 1981-1992, is the national professional body responsible for collecting, managing, analysing and communicating research and statistics on the Australian vocational education and training (VET) sector. This collection brings together the annual reports of the TAFE institutes of the Australian States and Territories. Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institutes are public bodies in receipt of government funding to provide a range of VET courses/qualifications and other programs (for example, entry and bridging courses, language and literacy courses, adult basic education courses, senior secondary certificate of education courses, personal enrichment courses, and small business courses). Included here are the six dual sector universities in Australia that offer courses in both vocational (TAFE) and higher education.
This collections brings together documents published by or on behalf of UNEVOC, UNESCO's International Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training.
These organisations produce research in the areas of vocational and tertiary education and training. This list is not exhaustive and the publication links are to items indexed in VOCEDplus.
