This paper focuses on entrepreneurial skills in technical vocational education and training (TVET) as a panacea to national insecurity. National insecurity is a state of fear or anxiety due to absence or lack of protection. National insecurity according to this paper has resulted due to idleness of Nigeria youth as a consequence of unemployment. However, entrepreneurial skills developed through TVET can turn around the economic fortunes of the country, reduce unemployment and eradicate insecurity. Entrepreneurship which is a planned effort undertaken by an individual(s), institutions or agencies to develop the required competencies in people can easily be addressed through TVET. TVET is a skill oriented programme which can impact entrepreneurial skills needed by the youth to be self-reliant, self-dependent and able to function effectively in the society. Therefore, this paper recommended that, entrepreneurial skills and workshop on how to procure business ideas should be integrated in school curriculum to encourage young people to start their own business. Also encouraging graduates and out-of-school youth to be involved in vocational training to promote social inclusion as well as enhance employability. Lastly, TVET should provide the skills profiles required by the labour market to enhance employability.
