The TAFE Teaching/Industry Training Articulation Project was commissioned to assist in the development of a new approach to the organization and delivery of training for both TAFE teachers and industry based trainers. The project is part of a response to the national and statewide changes in the structure and delivery of vocational education and training.

The purpose of the project is to identify the range of competence statements required for both TAFE teachers and industry trainers who are involved in the development, delivery and evaluation of vocational education and training and to use this work to describe a series of professional development options for the two groups.

The development of a common competency framework is based on the convergence between the functions of staff in the two areas with regard to current trends in vocational education and training. Show less
