This study determined the impact of the cluster in-service training programme on the teaching skills of electrical/electronics teachers that participated in the training scheme in Niger State, Nigeria. Specifically, the study determined the impact of the programme on the teaching skills of the electrical/electronics teachers; how well the programme components were being implemented; and ascertained the constraints of the programme. Three research questions guided the study. The population of the study comprised of 20 resource persons and 128 electrical teachers that participated in the training. A structured questionnaire of 78 items developed by the researchers was used for data collection. Mean response to the questionnaire items informed the decisions taken. The findings of the study revealed, among others, that the programme has made significant impact on the teaching skills of the electrical/electronics teachers; the implementation of the programme was well carried out; and the programme has no follow-up activities thus it lacks feedback. Constraints include inadequate funds to cater for the remuneration of the resource persons and the participating teachers. Recommendations made in line with the findings include: a follow-up mechanism should be put in place by both the consulting institution and the [State Universal Basic Education Board] SUBEB officials in order to periodically assess the success or failure of the scheme; and adequate financial incentives should be provided for the resource persons and the participants in order to secure the desired commitment and dedication for the programme.
