Literacy Update is an Australian Language and Literacy Policy (ALLP) project. It is a national newsletter about adult English language and literacy issues. Literacy Update is an Australian Language and Literacy Policy (ALLP) project. It is a national newsletter about adult English language and literacy issues. It aims to provide up-to-date news and information about national developments particularly activities flowing from Commonwealth funding. This will include research and policy developments and other activities of national significance at Commonwealth, State/Territory and regional/local level. It is written for people with an interest in adult literacy, language and numeracy, whether they be teachers or tutors, staff from higher education, SkillShare workers, industry trainers, unionists, managers, or Government personnel. Literacy Update is produced on a bi-monthly basis.

Literacy update is published by Skill Ed for the Literacy and [English as a second language] ESL Section of the Department of Employment, Education and Training, Canberra, as an Australian Language and Literacy Policy National Adult Literacy Project.
