Abstract:

The Higher Education Commission embarked on this inquiry in July 2019, following a review of the existing research into disabled students' experiences. 2020 is a landmark year for the anniversaries of three of the most important pieces of UK legislation for disabled people. This year is the 50th anniversary of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act, the 25th anniversary of the Disability Discrimination Act, and the 10th anniversary of the Equality Act.
