Abstract:

This report shares the findings of research seeking to understand the contribution and value of combining workplace-based learning with open and distance learning (ODL) and technology-enhanced learning (TEL) in technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in New Zealand. The research was conducted through three case studies focusing on adult teaching, carpentry, and health and well-being qualifications.
