Abstract:

This report contains the recommendations from the Staff Development Advisory Committee to the Technical and Further Education Council on the nature and development of formal preparation programs for full-time technical and further education (TAFE) teachers in Australia. The Kangan report released in 1974 (indexed at TD/LMR 85.637) initiated the first systemic attention directed toward improving the quality and standing of vocational education and training (VET) teachers and trainers.
