For many people, a college education doesn't equate to career preparedness. Many employees find ways to learn on their own or from their co-workers. But, companies that invest in employee development not only cultivate a well-trained workforce whose knowledge and skills are better aligned with company goals, they can also help their employees feel more prepared to succeed in the future.
