Abstract:

These reports on apprenticeships and work-based learning (WBL) were prepared by Cedefop's ReferNet network in 2014. They describe specific features of apprenticeships and WBL programmes in European Union (EU) member states, Iceland and Norway, such as: support for companies, in particular small and medium enterprises (SMEs), offering company placements; programme attractiveness and career guidance; national governance, regulatory framework and social partners' involvement; quality assurance; and main strengths and weaknesses of these programmes.
