Defining quality for research training in Australia: a consultation paper

The consultation paper is the initial phase in the review of the Research Training Scheme (RTS), which provides funding to eligible higher education providers to support research training for domestic students undertaking higher degrees by research. The consultation paper aims to identify what quality in research training means and how it can be measured and encouraged. Submissions for this paper closed on 28 November 2011. A total of 63 submissions were received from higher education institutions, research agencies, peak bodies and individuals.
