The Council of Australian Governments (COAG) agreed to the National Partnership on Youth Attainment and Transitions (the NP) in July 2009. The NP seeks to improve educational outcomes and transitions for young Australians from school to further education, training or employment. Specifically, the NP focuses on 15-24 year-olds, young people at risk, and the educational attainment and engagement of young Indigenous Australians.
