This good practice report, commissioned by the Australian Learning and Teaching Council (ALTC), provides a summative evaluation of useful outcomes and good practices from ALTC projects and fellowships on work integrated learning (WIL). The report also contains a literature review of the good practices and key outcomes for teaching and learning from national and international research, and the proposed outcomes and resources for teaching and learning which will be produced by current incomplete ALTC projects and fellowships, and identifies areas in which further work or development are appropriate. WIL is delineated in this report as the intentional integration of theory and practice knowledge, and a WIL program provides the means to enable this integration and may, or may not, include a placement in a workplace, or a community or civic arena.
