In vocational education and training (VET), trainers and assessors are the most valuable asset and least cared for resource. Convention in planning training indicates that there should be detailed course planning, careful attention to registered training organisation (RTO) compliance and quality data, careful selection of materials, and validation of assessment, but in the end, the quality of the service provided to learners is entirely dependent on the quality and performance of the trainer.
