The New Deal: workforce development for service industries VET practitioners

Abstract:

[The New Deal] project was aimed at the improvement of the vocational education and training (VET) practitioner workforce for the service industries. The final product was a workforce development strategy for service industries VET practitioners and suggestions for evaluating that strategy. The research shows that there is a will for improvement of the VET workforce and a clear sense that VET practitioners for the service industries need to be very strongly engaged with industry and also focused on developing their teaching and training skills.
