Abstract:

This paper looks at the training of TAFE teachers, and concludes that Kangan's hope of eliminating the gulf between general and vocational education is now closer than it has ever been. After 20 years, teacher education for TAFE is on a par with that of school teacher education, and indeed, the preparation of school teachers is now starting to take into account the importance of vocational education.
