Abstract:

The purpose of this paper is two-fold: to examine the vocational education and training literature for the major issues, debates and developments relating to the role of TAFE teachers, currently and in the coming decade, and; to present some of the key documents relevant to initial TAFE teacher education and subsequent professional development.
