Abstract:

This report looks at the development of group training from its beginnings among industry associations, examining patterns of growth in group training in terms of its occupational mix, the structure and type of training, who participates, what they do and what they gain from it. Group training is shown to be a strong and enduring contributor to Australia’s apprenticeship and traineeship system.
